I tried reading THE FIRST BINDING by R.R. Virdi and BEFORE I LET GO by Marieke Nijkamp, but I didn't like the narrator for the first and was too stressed out by the second.
I wrote a formal DNF review for THE FERRYMAN by Justin Cronin, received as an ARC through NetGalley. I was very frustrated and so that explanation is a bit more flowery than usual. Rereads and Older Reviews
I've been re-reading a bunch of gay arranged relationship stories, since that's a subgenre I enjoy. To that end I read A STRANGE AND STUBBORN ENDURANCE by Foz Meadows, then followed it up with two books by Everina Maxwell, WINTER'S ORBIT and OCEAN'S ECHO.
BTB 2023 Reading Challenge
For 2023 I'm hosting a reading challenge that lasts the whole year. February's prompt is to read something with snow as a theme (or with a white cover). Our patrons voted for YEAR ONE by Nora Roberts.
Current Reads
I'm still working on re-reads of HARROW THE NINTH and THE DREAM THIEVES. I also started a re-read of NINEFOX GAMBIT by Yoon Ha Lee, this time by audiobook so I can sew at the same time.
A RESTLESS TRUTH by Freya Marske has returned from the library and I'll finish that soon. I saw that the third book in the trilogy should come out this fall and I'm very excited.
I'm working on an ARC of SHE IS A HAUNTING by Trang Thanh Tran. I need to either speed up or accept that I won't finish it before the publishing date.
